INTERS & SENIORS
Newton Jaguars takes pride in their Senior aged teams.
Whilst the Intermediate age group is 17 & U, it is at this age, development into our Senior and Premier League starts occurring.

Intermediate-aged players are provided with extra development and fitness opportunities over the summer season. This is continued into winter and may include higher-level opportunities to train with the Premier League squad as a selected Rookie player. Excitingly three of our inter-players made their Premier League Reserves debut in 2024.

First-year Intermediate players are able to pursue further netball development through Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy and all Intermediate players are encouraged to trial for the NSA 17&U State Team.

In winter, Inters play on Saturday afternoons and train on Tuesday nights. The Intermediate 1 team may have extra sessions during the season with Round Robins against our Premier League and AMND League teams. In summer, Inters play on Tuesday nights in the City Night (CND) competition at Mile End.

Seniors are for players turning 18 or older in the calendar year.

We play in the AMND league as well as other senior grades. The AMND league is the Senior stepping stone to the Premier League. AMND league team selection occurs at the same time (October) as the Premier League squad and enjoys the benefits of the pre-season with the Premier League squad.

We have other opportunities for Senior players. In winter, our Senior teams, play in either the AMND or SADNA competitions and train on Thursday nights. Our A Grade team may have extra pre-season training sessions. In summer, Seniors may play on Monday nights (SADNA) or Tuesday nights (CND) and continue to train on Thursday nights.

Trials for winter senior teams occur in February.
