2024 JUNIOR TRIALS & INFORMATION

 

Newton Jaguars advises that nominations to trial for the 2024 Winter season are now closed!

 

Interested players are still encouraged to contact the Junior Coordinator as places may become available during the season.

NJNC fields junior teams from Sub Primary (9&U) to Intermediates (17&U) in the AMND Competition played at Mile End on Saturdays from May until September. We have teams across all divisions, including Division 1.

We are focused on Junior development with a philosophy of providing opportunities for all Juniors. We are excited for our future with players participating in National and State Level pathways including the Adelaide Thunderbirds Academy. All trials for all age groups have been completed. Please note the following availability.

THE FOLLOWING AGE GROUPS ARE FULL

Sub Primary (2015-17)

Primary (2013-2014)

Sub Junior (2011-2012)

Intermediates (2007-2008)

 

Juniors (2009 - 2010)

There are no further trials for this age group. However, there may still be an opportunity to play for the right player. If your player is interested in playing, contact the JUNIOR COORDINATOR to discuss. (Older Sub Junior aged players are welcome to enquire too.

2024 REGISTRATION PROCESS:

REGISTRATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. Contact the Junior Coordinator if interested in playing.

 

1. Register by paying the whole Club Fee.
 2024 CLUB FEES

·       Sub Primary $315

·       Primary, Sub Juniors and Juniors $345

·       Intermediates $375

 

Fees include the End-of-Season Presentation but do not include Netball SA Membership, Uniform, or Netball SA Stadium Entry Costs.

 

2. Attend trials/squad sessions.
 

3. For those who trial - players where possible*, will be placed in a squad. Squads will be announced within 2 weeks of the final trial date. Teams will be finalised following squad sessions in March. Teams will be announced within one week of final squad session.

 

If your player is not placed in a squad – the club fee will be reimbursed.

 

To accept their squad position, players must register for the season - by paying the annual Netball SA membership ($107.42), and the Netball Australia Digital Services Fee. The relevant link to register to AMND will be provided at this time.

$100 - SA Government Sports Vouchers for eligible players can be applied to the Netball SA Membership fee.

 

4. If players do not wish to accept their squad position, they will be refunded the relevant club fee less the $100 non-refundable trial fee. This must be advised to the Player Registrar - playerregistration@newtonjaguars.com.au – within 5 days of the Squad Announcement - after this time, squads are considered finalised.

 

5. If a player withdraws anytime after squads are finalised  – NO FEES will be refunded. Please note - consideration will be given to players who have significant injury preventing them from playing a majority of the 2024 Winter Season.**

 

*NOTE: Every effort will be made to place Junior players in a squad. Teams will have a cap of 10 players. Waitlists will be taken.

FOR NEW UNIFORMS - THE ORDER CUT-OFF DATE IS SUNDAY 3 MARCH 2024.

TRAINING

Winter training is compulsory. 

 

ALL Juniors train on Tuesday nights at our courts behind Campbelltown Oval.

​

Some teams may have a 2nd training session - advised by team coach.

​

Training times are as follows: 

​

• SUB PRIMARY - 5:30 to 6:30 pm

• PRIMARY - 5:30 to 7 pm

• SUB JUNIORS - 5:30 to 7 pm 

• JUNIORS - 7 to 8:30 pm

• INTERMEDIATES - 7 to 8:45 pm

JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

 

In 2024, Newton Jaguars is pleased to be able to offer 5 scholarships to Junior Players.

​

The scholarships recognise, Excellence, Commitment, and Involvement to their Netball and the Newton Jaguars Netball Club.

​

Players must be fully registered and committed to play for Newton Jaguars in the 2024 Winter Season to be eligible for the scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the NJNC Club Day before the start of the 2024 Winter Season. Scholarships are valued based on the recipient's 2024 Winter Season Fees.

​

The scholarships will be reviewed on an annual basis and will only be offered if funds are available.
