26/07/2010

The games against Tango were predictable in their results with both teams have thumping victories, the League by 70 goals (87 -17) and Reserves by 38 (74 -36).

In the League the game was well and truly over by half time with the score 50 – 6 which secured vital percentage and allowed the coach to make four changes across the court during the second half.

So it boils down to the last game – League win on Friday night- move onto to the semi’s, lose- there is no tomorrow !!

WE NEED EVERYONE OUT ON FRIDAY NIGHT MAKING AS MUCH NOISE AS POSSIBLE TO SUPPORT THE Reserves in their last game for the season and get the League into the finals !!!!!!!!!!!!

AMND JAGS 49 defeated Adelaide Cougars 42

A Grade JAGS 29 defeated by Sacred Heart O.C. 81

B2 JAGS 45 defeated by Oakdale 50

C1 JAGS 40 defeated by Immanuel Doves 55

C2 JAGS 29 defeated by Semaphore 45. The team had their biggest loss of the season, losing to the top placed Semaphore. The team only had 7 players due to illness and injury and could not keep up with the speed of semaphore. Now focusing on winning all our remaining games to cement a place in the finals. Coach Anita Quinlivan.

C5 JAGS 52 defeated Matrics 12

Intermediate 1 JAGS 53 defeated Oakdale 38

Intermediate 3 JAGS 50 defeated Cheerio (2) 29. Great win on Saturday defeating Cheerio( 2) Our first quarter was a little slow but as the match progressed so did our tempo. Laura and Claudia in the defence end turned the ball over numerous times, and with both shooters Morgan and Tori shooting with great accuracy ensured our success. Fantastic shooting by Morgan, shooting 22 goals from 26 attempts (85%). Rachael at WA played a great game with plenty of drive in the midcourt and excellent delivery into the goal circle. It was great to see that Sarah was able to push passed her demons to play a solid final quarter. Bella and Eloise, as reliable as always, make this team the complete package. Keep going girls, keep the focus, keep the belief, play for each other and you will always be winners !!!!!!! Coach Leanne Nelson.

Intermediate 4 JAGS 37 defeated Garville 21. We had another great win. The girls are coming good at the right end of the season and are excited at the possibility of playing in finals. Keep up the good work. Coach Kaye O’Rielly

Sub Junior 3

JAGS (1) 42 defeated Garville 15. After a very good win last week, we followed it up with an excellent win this week - our first back to back win for the season! Once again our skill errors were substantially reduced due to some very good training during the week and once the girls got the sniff of a win in the air, there was no stopping them! It was a complete team effort with all players contributing to this first class result. Every player won their position and it reinforced all the hard work we did at training during the week. Very proud of this group of girls and I look forward to another excellent training session this Wednesday to back up a further win for the season. Well done everyone! Coach Karen O’Shaughnessy.

17/7/2010 Sub Junior 3 JAGS (1) 33 defeated Harlequin (2) 15. We started the game off with a bang and scored 7 unanswered goals within the first 2 minutes! From that point on, all players lifted in confidence, skill and intensity and earned our biggest win of the season 33-15. Our defensive pressure all the way down the court was very good as was our attack when the ball was turned over. Our skill errors were the lowest they have been all season, which goes to show that when you train hard and continue to do the repetitive work, you will be rewarded. Great game girls, start believing in each other and the results will come. Coach Karen O’Shaughnessy.

JAGS (2) 8 defeated by Adelaide Cougars 26

Sub Junior 5 JAGS Bye

Sub Junior 6 JAGS 13 defeated by Adelaide Cougars 26. Again this week we were outplayed and were unable to put together 4 quarters of consistent netball. The first quarter was our best effort and after that we only showed in patches what we are capable of doing. Overall there were some pleasing signs of transference of skills practised at training to the game, we just need to work on maintaining our effort throughout the whole game and improve our shooting %. Coach Katrina Day.

Sub Junior 7 JAGS 18 defeated Harlequin 21

Sub Junior 9 JAGS 25 defeated Woods Panthers 9

Primary 2 JAGS 18 defeated Tango 9

Primary 4 JAGS 21 defeated Oakdale 19

Primary 6 JAGS (1) 23 defeated Cheerio 0

Primary 6 JAGS (2) 19 defeated Adelaide Cougars 10. Well done everybody for a great win. You all tried for the whole game and it showed. By running into space and being in front you managed to gain a lot of intercepts. This week was so much better than last week and we are very proud of you. You have now shown you can do it, let's follow up next week. Coaches award- Hannah for sticking with her player for the whole game and Siana for getting in front and causing a lot of turnovers. Team Manager Terry Roberts. Coach Sarah Morris.

Sub Primary JAGS 14 defeated Western Jets (1) 3. The girls played a great game today. The goals were spread around and everyone was running to space and calling for passes. It is really great to see how much they have improved over the season. Only a few more games left - lets show them what we can do. Well done everyone. Team Manager Meegan Roberts. Coach Elyse Morris.
