Both League and Reserves had percentage boosting wins on Friday night against Garville, the League by 45 goals (maybe could have been higher after leading by 42 at three quarter time), while Reserves had a resounding victory defeating their opponents by 42 goals. A highlight of the evening was Biddy Miller making her League debut in the final quarter and acquitting herself well.

Post game, the evening ended on a high with the girls from both teams who ventured back to the Seven Stars phoning a delighted club patron Mr D and singing happy birthday to him 16,139 kms away while he was on his way from England to France. Girls when I get the bill I'll send it to you!!!

C2 JAGS 33 defeated by Cheerio 44. The team suffered their biggest loss for the season. The girls found it hard to overcome the physical body pressure and had issues with creating space and run on the court. Looking forward to a week’s rest and then getting back into full on training in preparation for finals. Coach Anita Quinlivan.

Sub Junior 5 JAGS 17 defeated Contax 11

Sub Junior 6 JAGS 21 defeated Western Jets (2) 19. In another closely fought contest the girls were able to come away with a win. After a slow start in the first quarter, to be down by 2 goals at quarter time, the girls put together a good second quarter to outscore the opposition by 4 goals and have us in front by 2 goals at the half-time break. In an evenly contested second half, some consistent play enabled us to maintain our 2 goal lead through to the end of the game. Well done girls, have a good break and come back refreshed and firing to finish of the season. Coach Katrina Day.

Sub Junior 7 JAGS 11 defeated Matrics 9

Sub Junior 9 JAGS 35 defeated Western Jets 16

Primary 2 JAGS 27 defeated Contax 11. Fantastic TEAM effort. The girls played a great team game. They were focused from the first quarter to the last. Georgia was fantastic in GK with great intercepts. Victoria played with confidence in GD, Charlotte was hungry for the ball in WD, Brianna and Emily played an excellent game in C and WA, Hannah, Mikayla and Alex were fantastic in GS and GA with accurate shooting and excellent movement in the circle. Well done girls for a fantastic game, beating the top team in the competition. A special thank you for all the parents for their encouragement and support. A very proud Coach Karen Braund.

Primary 4 JAGS 20 drew with SA Ladybirds 20. “This week the team met our major competition in this league. Sitting only half a win behind the Ladybirds on the ladder, we had hoped to knock them clean off their perches (so to speak) and take top spot on the ladder. Unfortunately, nothing changes as the Primary 2’s DREW with the Ladybirds!! 20 goals each! The girls have everything to be proud of yet again however because we came from behind after a very strong first quarter from the Ladybirds, who relied on one very strong and accurate Goal Shooter on their team. Our defenders were not rattled however and minimized her input in the game quarter by quarter. With 4 unanswered goals by our girls at the start of the last, a very exciting final quarter was played out, with great goal circle play and strong defensive play all round. Now that we know what we are up against, I have every confidence that the Team can work towards a WIN against this team next time we meet. We know what to do J! Congratulations girls and be proud…you all played a super game!” Coach Sue Jones.

Primary 6 JAGS (1) 30 defeated Adelaide Cougars 2

Primary 6 JAGS (2) 16 defeated by Contax 18

Sub Primary JAGS 20 defeated Western Jets (2) 2. Another great game by the girls. Everyone had a go in goals this week with lots of success. Some really good intercepts and defensive play as well. Well done to everyone. Keep up the good work. Coach Elyse Morris.
