C2

The Jags C2 team had a good win on Saturday against the second Woods Panthers team. Coming from one goal down at three quarter time, the girls fought hard in the last quarter and won by 6 goals, 31-25. A hard fought game played by all. Coach Anita Quinlivan.

Sub Junior 4

Jags defeated Matrics 10 goals to 8 goals. Today the girls showed their spectators that they did know how to win. Missing Kiara (overseas), Kate and Georgia (both ill and we wish them a speedy recovery) we welcomed Hannah from our 3rd team into WA. From the first whistle the girls showed their strength and focus. In defence strong work from Tayla, Emilia and Juliet while Mikayla continually assisted all over the court to deliver to our attack end with Hannah, Anna and Abbey working beautifully in their movement of the ball and in and around the circle. Shooting average improved greatly this week in what was a tight game. Well done girls – we knew you had it in you – now you have to continue to believe. Primary 4

Primary 4 went down again this week to Harlies in what was again, a winnable game. Jags played very well in quarters 1 and 3 but something went quite amiss in quarters 2 and 4! Conditions at 9am were fine for a netball game unlike a very windy week before, but the girls struggled to hit their targets when passing, resulting in easy intercepts by the other team. However, the girls can be confident that with continued practice (and a tough training session lined up for Tuesday!!), next time we meet the game could very easily be ours. Coach Sue Jones.
