Newton Jaguars played Cheerio, the final score was 42 to 54.

B5

B5’s played Contax. Both teams had the same number of wins prior to this game. Jags started slowly to trail by 3 at quarter time. In the second quarter we began to show our true form with much more patience in working the ball into the goal circle. This was shown by the quarter score of 13 to 3. Final score a win to Jags 38 to 22. A good team effort. Coach Cathie Webb.

Primary 4

The girls played top side Tango this week and put up a superb effort again, however they lost 15 to 10. The two sides were quite evenly matched, just a few missed goals making the difference on a very windy morning. Bravery Award to Olivia after patching up a grazed knee and continuing on with the game, and thanks to Chelsea for offering to help the Primary 3’s who were down on numbers. Win or lose, the girls are continuing to improve each week and are a pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work team. Coach Sue Jones.

Primary 7

It took the girls the first half just to wake up! But when they awoke they were off! Our 3rd quarter saw us score 6 goals and keep the opposition scoreless. We beat Matrics 13 - 6 even though we only had the bare 7! I am so proud of the girls as they all played so well as a team. It was probably the best game yet. Look out finals here we come!!!
