Jags strike back

Jags posted 2 emphatic wins on Friday night in their games against Cougars. The league started strong and were never headed in the one sided affair. Jags fought a good battle through the midcourt to get the ball into the shooters, with little resistance shown by the Cougars defence due to the dominance of Worthley and Hazel. Solid defence kept Cougars shooters goals down with good vision and some well timed intercepts to set up another Jags attack. Jags running out winners 63-37.

The Reserves capped off a good win despite a scare early in the third quarter. Jags lead by 5 goals at quarter time and then by 7 at half time, however a revival by Cougars saw a 9 goal turnaround before Jags struck back. Playing their best netball of the season Jags piled on the goals to run out 12 goal winners.

In the seniors AMND league lost their game against top side Contax by 8 goals. The loss still keeps them in the top 4, whilst the A grade had a forfeit against Garville, putting them into the 4. The B3's continued their good form with a 43-26 win against Matrics, whilst both the C1 & C2 sides posted good wins.

The Inter1's took a hit in their loss to Contax with Contax running out 29 goal winners. The Inter 2's lost their game by 5 goals against a determined Cougars side. A good win for the Inter 3's over Oakdale. The Inter 4's handed Cougars a 12 goal loss as they continue with their good form. The Inter 5's lost to Semaphore.

The H Grade remain unbeaten after their 31-11 win over Western Jets.

The Junior 1's lost to a strong Contax team, the J3's suffering a similar fate against Garville. The J4's had a good win over Matrics in a very hard fought game Jags ran out 3 goal winners at the final whistle. In the J6's Jags (1) accounted for Woods Pathers whilst Jags(2) lost their encounter with Oakdale. The J7's lost to Matrics.

In the Sub Juniors the SJ2's won their game against Western Jets with a 12 goal margin. The 4's also won their game against Woods. The SJ5's accounted for Contax as did the 6's against Matrics. The SJ7's Jags (1) lost to Tango whilst the Jags (2) lost to Matrics. Overall the Sub Juniors had a good day out.

The Primary 2's drew their game against Oakdale with neither side unable to break the deadlock, whilst the 4's took care of Tango by 7 goals. The 5's defeated Sameaphore, whilst the 6's lost to Woods.

A large number of Jags sides now sit in the top four of their grades just over the half way point of the season.
